Looking for a general consensus from those more mechanically inclined. What should we consider to be an acceptable amount of oil usage (if any), for example per 1000 miles of operation? At what point should one become concerned that usage is excessive? Assuming of course that there are no leaks anywhere and no observed smoking from the exhaust.
